Puter Records: a free, open-source Airtable alternative

A relational database that feels like a spreadsheet — grid, board, calendar, gallery and form views.

  • Office
  • Free · MIT
  • Runs in the browser
  • alpha

From the official README: this app is in early alpha. Features may change and data could be lost — don’t rely on it for real work yet, and keep copies of anything important.

What is Records?

Records is an open-source Airtable alternative: tables of typed fields, records linked across tables, and views that show the same data as a grid, Kanban board, calendar, gallery, timeline, list or form. Start from a template such as a project tracker, content calendar or sales pipeline, and keep everything in your own Puter cloud.

Key features

  • Typed fields and records linked across tables
  • Grid, board, calendar, gallery, timeline, list and form views
  • Templates: project tracker, content calendar, sales pipeline, inventory…
  • Filters, sorting and grouping per view
  • Download a full backup of any base

How to use it

  1. Open records.puter.com in any modern browser — computer, tablet or phone.
  2. Sign in with a free Puter account; your data is saved in your own Puter cloud storage.
  3. Want to self-host or hack on it? Run it locally (Node.js 22.12 or newer):
git clone https://github.com/HeyPuter/everything.git
cd everything/src/records
npm install
npm run dev
